01

Give the warehouse an order it can work from

The warehouse needs to know the products and quantities required, not just that a sale exists. Keep those details connected with the customer order and its current physical stage.

GoodsHaul uses Draft, Placed, Confirmed, Preparing, Out for delivery and Delivered in the physical order journey. Preparing covers operational tasks such as assignment, picking and handover where the company configuration requires them.

02

Check readiness before dispatch

Picking completeness, changes to a pick and driver handover can affect whether the load is ready. The next-step guidance points the responsible team toward the relevant workflow rather than silently marking later stages complete.

Your demo should cover a normal pick and the exceptions you regularly handle. Test a shortage, a changed quantity and an unfinished handover so the team can assess the actual workflow.

03

Keep FIFO and expiry information close

For food wholesalers, the quantity available is only part of the decision. Batch dates, near-expiry reports and FIFO workflows help staff review which products need attention and what to prepare for dispatch.

Use your product range to check the picking process and the expiry information available to each role. Specific warehouse processes should be confirmed during setup.

04

Connect preparation to delivery, without tying it to payment

A delivery run connects warehouse work with the vehicle and customer stops. Invoicing follows the configured workflow and permissions. Eligible office invoicing can remain available independently of assignment, picking or handover.

GoodsHaul is presented here for its wholesale picking and dispatch workflows. Bring specialist warehouse requirements to the demo so we can confirm fit and scope before you commit.

  • Review required picking and handover steps
  • Confirm who can assign, prepare and dispatch
  • Check invoice timing for delivery runs
  • Test the workflow with office, warehouse and delivery users

Practical questions

Does Delivered mean the invoice is paid?

No. Physical delivery and the customer account are separate. The Payment card can show an invoice is needed, unpaid, part paid or paid while delivery remains complete.

Will every warehouse use the same preparation steps?

No. Preparation and dispatch guidance depend on the company configuration, required checks and user permissions. Review the setup with your team during the demo.
